Architecture

Jackson Clements Burrows carefully evaluated their solution to the Windsor Park design brief and decided they wanted to create an architectural statement that linked the built form to its lush surroundings.

The enduring shape, which can be seen as a collection of smaller structures, is divided by patches of vegetation. Shadow lines between the architectural form are created by vertical fractures along both street interfaces, shifting the scale from large to small for a more intimate experience. The nearby reserve's sensitive landscaping recalls a getaway from the city. 

The use of lightweight, metallic paneling in contrast to the usage of concrete gives the architecture timeless materiality that adds a sense of richness and delight. The planning of the apartments maximizes chances for natural daylight, cross-flow ventilation, and dual-aspect amenity with sustainability as a fundamental factor. Residents can enjoy a sculpture-filled, tranquil place in a spacious internal courtyard that carries the park experience inside the structure.

The exterior façade has recessed balconies to maximize views, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide expansive views over the treetops and toward the city skyline. To maximize light and connection to the sky, wildlife, and trees, large circular cut-outs have been placed strategically on side walls and balcony roofs. This overarching theme is magnificently repeated throughout the entire structure.

With floor-to-ceiling windows letting in plenty of natural light and lush surroundings, the area is elevated by attention to detail. Architecturally constructed robes and textured wool loop pile rugs can be found in each master bedroom.

 Residents will enjoy the tranquility of their hotel-style bathrooms, which have asymmetrical stone and wood vanities, natural stone flooring, feature mosaic wall tiles in the shower zones, and rail and rain showers.

The feature task lighting next to the mirror and the under-vanity LED night light are both useful and aesthetically pleasing fixtures that give the room a calming glow.
